Our prayer ministry is the most important ministry at Faith Tabernacle Church. Prayer is the way that we communicate with God. The bible says in James 5:16(b) that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. As bible believers we are commanded to always pray. When we pray effectively and passionately to God he rewards us by moving on our behalf. Therefore we have designated a day to corporate prayer. Corporate prayer simply means that a group of people come together to pray. We believe that there is power in numbers. We are not saying that one person can't pray and that their prayer cannot be answered, but the bible says were if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. There are many examples in the bible where more can be accomplished and more ground can be covered when you have more people involved with the same vision.
Our corporate prayer begins with a short talk that stirs and motivates your heart and mind to pray its purpose is to build up your faith to believe that whatever you pray according to the will of God that it will be answered. This short talk will reassure you that your prayers are powerful and valuable and are sought after by God. This talk will also prepare you to go before the throne of grace with reverence and thanksgiving. The bible says that there is a way in which we are to approach God. We have to enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. When God can be found living in our praise, you can rest assure that where God is, prayers are being answered.
The prayers at these meetings are strategically focused. John 16:23 says, And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. After the focal prayers have been established we then being to pray the Word of God concerning theses prayers in one voice to invoke the presence of God. The bible tells us that His Word cannot return back to Him void or canceled, but it must accomplish exactly what it was sent out to do. We believe that if we pray the Word of God there is no such thing is an unanswered prayer we just have to wait patiently on God's divine timing to bring that word to pass.
We invite you to come out and pray and believe God with us with a sincere heart the will of God be done, being ever mindful that prayer is the most essential part in the Body of Christ. Without prayer their is no divine direction, divine revelation or divine manifestation.
